Furthermore, we have documented procedures and routines that all our employees and consultants abide by in order to ensure that the focus on security and compliance is maintained throughout the business.

Our compliance manager and risk team ensure that we adhere to the regulatory requirements under the Swedish FSA directive. They also work continuously to adapt and improve our procedures and routines.

Billhop is a Payment Institute licensed by, and under the supervision of the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority (Finansinspektion).

We maintain high security standards, similar to bank platforms and systems. We have developed our proprietary systems and processes to validate, execute and follow up on the payment of your bills.

SSL Encryption

All traffic is encrypted with an SSL certificate using VeriSign Extended Validation. This means that no one can intrude on your data traffic to and from our domains. Your web browser will display a green address bar and a padlock when visiting our site.

Mastercard SecureCode

For payments with MasterCard, Billhop uses SecureCode as security solution. This may include password authentication. This is the same approach that is often used in e-commerce.

Verified by Visa

For payments with Visa cards, Billhop uses Verified by Visa as a security solution. This may include a password authentication. This is the same approach that is often used in e-commerce.

American Express

For payments with American Express cards, Billhop uses American Express' proprietary security solutions.

PCI Certification

Billhop’s website is hosted in a PCI-certified security environment (Payment Card Industry).

Customer due diligence

Billhop verifies all business accounts through checks with UK Companies House registers.
