Register for free

Getting started with Billhop is simple. You will first need to register for either a personal or business account. Creating an account is completely free and only requires a few minutes of your time. Make sure you have photos that can verify your identity. This can be a picture of your National ID, passport or driving license. You will also need a proof of address on hand to help the process along.

How to start making payments

When you have successfully registered your Billhop account, you will be directed to the default payment page. Here’s how you start making payments.

Step 1: Add your card details

Simply click on “Cards” in the left menu bar and add your credit card details by clicking on “Add Card” on top of your screen.

If you are on a mobile device, you can reveal the menu bar by clicking on the three bars on the top left corner of your screen.

Step 2: Add your payment

Once you have saved your card, click on the "Payments" drop down button in the menu bar and choose "Add Payment”.

Your saved card will automatically be selected. If you have more than one saved card, you will be prompted to choose a card.

You can then input your recipient's remittance details. This includes their bank account details (sort code and account number), which can be found on your bill or invoice.

Key in the amount you wish to pay and choose a due date for when the payment has to reach your recipient. You can choose the recurring payment option if you would like to automate this payment.

Click on “Add payment” at the bottom of your screen.

Step 3: Make your payment

A panel will be displayed on the right hand side of your screen showing a summary of all of your planned payments.

You can finalise the payment by clicking on “Make X payment(s)”.

If you are on a mobile device, you can finalise your payment either by clicking on the "View and pay added payments" button on the bottom of your screen or by clicking on the file icon on the top right corner of your screen.

Your Card is Charged and Your Supplier is Paid

It takes around 2 to 4 business days to process your payment. Once that has been completed and we receive the funds from our acquiring bank, we initiate a same-day direct bank transfer to your end-recipient or supplier.

If you have scheduled a later payment date, please keep in mind that American Express cards will be charged 4 days before the due date while Mastercard, Diners and Visa cards will be charged 2 days before the due date.

It's important to note that we make sure all customer data is encrypted and protected with a 1.3 TLS Extended Validation SSL certificate. What this means is that we do not store your password or card details. We also monitor all transactions diligently in order to detect unusual or fraudulent activity.

No Supplier Onboarding Required

As your suppliers do not need to sign up to Billhop, they will not have to make any changes to their existing payment processes in order to receive remittance.

How Much Does It Cost?

As with everything else, Billhop's pricing is simple and transparent. You only need to pay a small service fee of each transaction amount to unlock the full potential of your credit card. We do not charge a subscription fee or have any hidden account upgrades.

Our service fee covers all the costs associated with processing and handling your card payments.

All invoice payments, along with our service fee, will be reflected in your card or bank statement.
